Dear Church Family,

Note these clarifying words as they pertain to the message of the 2^nd Angel:

The message of the fall of Babylon, as given by the second angel, is repeated, with the additional mention of the corruptions which have been entering the churches since 1844. The work of this angel comes in at the right time to join in the last great work of the third angel’s message as it swells to a loud cry.  SR 399

Note that the gospel message while centered upon Christ & His Righteousness, includes a message of warning as well as an invitation to come out.

In the news:

1. Pastor Alex will be sharing the message this Sabbath and we will also have the junior choir from GAA participating in the service as well.
2. There will be a fellowship lunch this week with the Emde team hosting.
3. AYA will be at 7:30pm this Sabbath. Come and hear from Robert, Jepthae, Hadassah and Ethan Campbell about what God is doing among the Bassac of Cambodia, a new Adventist Frontier Missions project.
4. Next week’s AYA will feature Fletcher’s 11^th Hour chorale. Note however that AYA next week will be at 3pm in the afternoon instead of its usual time.
5. There will be a church finance committee meeting this Monday evening at 6pm.
6. The church board will meet this Monday evening at 7:15pm.
7. This Sabbath, Sheryll Morrison who serves as our prayer ministries leader will be sharing during the ministry focus time about an initiative that she is putting together where by members pray for members in something of a (secret sister) type approach. In other words, if you wish to participate, you will submit your name in the offering plate and then collect a name after the service. Then you are charged with interceding for that person over the next several months in prayer.  All are encouraged to participate.
8. Several of us will be attending the Georgia Cumberland Constituency meeting this coming Sunday down in Cartersville, GA. This is when the officers of our conference are voted by the constituents to serve in their respective roles.  Let’s ask that God lead in this that His will be done.
9. Many in our church are battling sickness, cancer or recovering from various procedures right now. Please pray for our church family that God will protect and heal our infirmities that we might be used by Him for His glory.
10. This link was share with me this week that highlights the effects of media on the brain. The article is focusing on children but really it’s impact is relevant to all of us.  It would be worth your time to check it out.
